At the end of Year 2 and Year 6 children are assessed in school using national tests – also known as the Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs). Children work towards achieving the expected standard or greater depth by the end of each Key Stage. There is no need to panic though; preparation is key and we can help with that.
Our KS1 and KS2 SAT boosters will help your child to be fully prepared, both academically and mentally, and they will have the confidence in their ability to succeed in the SATs come May – when both KS1 and KS2 SATs take place.
Our boosters focus on ensuring your child has the necessary skills required to be successful and relaxed when takin the SATs. Tests can increase emotions and nerves and it is our role to provide a relaxed environment, with fun, engaging and interactive sessions for your child to flourish. Our SATs boosters only focus on Maths, Reading and SPaG (Spelling, punctuation and grammar) as they are the formally tested subjects, with writing being assessed in school over the year. SAT boosters are available on a one-to-one basis or small group sessions and the prices below include all resources needed together with refreshments. Each session lasts for 60 minutes and our small group sessions have no more than six children per session.
We do believe that the best way to be successful in the SATs is to be prepared and so we advise our pupils to register for sessions termly and try to attend each lesson in order to achieve the most. The sessions flow across each term, like at school, and so will cover all the fundamentals of Reading, Writing and SPaG.
The small group sessions prove extremely popular and so to guarantee your child’s place please book as early as possible.
