The 11+ is a selective entrance set of exams for secondary schools, used by both grammar schools and many private schools to identify the most academically able children. The Kent examinations and surrounding areas e.g. Medway and Bexley take place in September when your child reaches Year 6 and it tests 4 key subjects: English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-verbal Reasoning. Whilst the English and Maths will constitute much of the National Curriculum, the verbal and non-verbal reasoning are not subjects taught in primary schools and primary schools are unable to offer lessons or tuition themselves in respect of the 11+. We also offer 11+ tuition for specific entry exams for schools in the Kent region.
Whilst it is not a compulsory test for children to take, in Kent we understand we are in a high demand catchment and so many parents wish for tuition to help their child have confidence, self-belief and the academic skills to tackle the papers.
We use a variety of materials to help our pupils in preparing for the 11+ and as well as preparation sessions we also run mock exam sessions nearer the time of the test, so the children are fully prepared to work within full test conditions.
We would recommend 11+ preparation tuition for our Year 5 pupils in particular, although we are happy to discuss tuition outside of Year 5 for the 11+.

One-to-two session: £20.00 per hour booked.
Small group session: from £17.00 per hour booked.
